Emily Faith

While many artists feel pressure to fit into a single box, Emily Faith chooses to fight against that narrative as she tells stories of faith and freedom while highlighting the country styles of the Opry stages where she grew up performing.

At five years old, Emily began singing on the Oklahoma and Texas Opry circuit, and at eight years old, she found her love for crafting original melodies and began travelling to Nashville to write songs. From the beginning, she radiated energy and determination as she learned gospel, country, and rock music styles, taking her joy in music to churches, community events, theatres, and festivals.

Emily’s entry into the Christian Country space began in 2017 when she opened for the Newsboys’ “God’s Not Dead - Rivals” tour, and shortly after, opening for FOR KING & COUNTRY when she was only 16. In 2017 she was on season 16 of The Voice and received a golden ticket to Hollywood on season 20 of American Idol.

Openness and true connection radiate through her music and lyrics. Emily’s primary purpose as an artist is to craft songs that relate to people in varying environments and circumstances. “My songs are raw, real and often very fun and even spontaneous,” Emily notes. “I want to form meaningful relationships with people through music.”

Emily’s passion for connection goes beyond making music overflowing into her community and personal life. She engages in leadership and advocacy work with the American Heart Association, Folds of Honor, Heart of a Lion, Guitars for Veterans, Children’s Miracle Network, Boys and Girls Club of America and many other charities. She is also an adult and youth worship leader at Life Church in Oklahoma City. For several years she has assisted with the Oklahoma Opry Heritage Series, which educates thousands of children across the state about Oklahoma’s rich musical heritage. Her most cherished work is teaching music lessons at the Granville Community Music School in Oklahoma City, a music school for underprivileged communities.

“That is by far my greatest passion. Working with those kids and getting to share the gift of music with them has been something I’ve cherished for the past four years,” Emily says. “As Christians, we’re called to give back to others and be leaders in our community while shining the light of Christ. It’s been a great place to connect, give the children something to look forward to each week and bring some joy into their lives.”

Coming off a rich history of gospel, rock, and country, Emily lets the inspiration of her community fuel her music. www.emilyfaithmusic.com
